The Aultman Foundation Seeks Grant Applicants
February 26, 2010 -- The Aultman Foundation is accepting grant applications March 15-April 9, from 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations with projects focusing on health, education and human services.

February 18, 2010 -- The importance of medical education in health care can easily be seen in the relationship of dedicated physicians mentoring young aspiring physicians. Come learn Feb. 25, as Aultman Hospital hosts an evening of reflection in Medical Education and recognizes one community physician’s life-long contribution to Stark County. Reservations are required for this free public event made possible by memorial donations.

The Women’s Board Announces 2010 Angel Auction Chairs
February 18, 2010 -- The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital has announced the chairwomen for the 2010 Angel Auction. Tracy Jeffries of Canton and Lynnette Gallina of North Canton will be leading the Angel Auction this year. The Angel Auction is an annual black-tie, fundraising event celebrating its 41st anniversary in 2010. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $10 million for charitable causes in the community.

Free Breast Exams, Mammograms at Aultman Carrollton on Feb. 26
February 05, 2010 -- Getting regular exams and mammograms can help find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat. Last year alone, more than 40,000 families lost a wife, mother or sister to breast cancer. With generous support from the Northeast Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Aultman Carrollton now offers mammograms and encourages all Carroll County women older than 40 to attend an educational Open House on Feb. 26.

Aultman Searches for Volunteer Dogs, Owners for Visitation Program
January 25, 2010 -- Aultman Hospital is searching for well-behaved dogs of all sizes and their dedicated owners to participate in Happy Tails, a dog visitation program that exposes patients, family, visitors and staff to the positive experience of interacting with an animal. Registration is required by Feb. 17.

Successfully Drop the Tobacco Habit with Free Aultman Program
December 29, 2009 --  If you’ve wanted a life without tobacco, Aultman Hospital has a free group counseling program to make that dream come true. It’s reported that approximately 70 percent of smokers want to quit completely, and approximately 40 percent of smokers try to quit each year. “Cold turkey is not the way to go. It works for about 7 percent of people,” said Aultman’s certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist Sara Schaub.
